A show inside a monument.
Audio Obscura Kingsnight at the Van Nelle Fabriek
LED panels, lasers and mirrors, set against a UNESCO World Heritage facade. The design follows the architecture instead of covering it.
We partnered with Audio Obscura for the design of their show with Marlon Hoffstadt during Kingsnight. Together, we designed a show that not only mesmerised the audience, but also highlights this unique industrial venue.

Van Nelle Fabriek · Rotterdam 01The venue
The Van Nelle Fabriek is a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its modernist architecture and repurposed as a distinctive industrial event space. Vast open halls, extensive glass facades, concrete and steel: a flexible canvas that can carry very different kinds of events.

Marlon Hoffstadt · Kingsnight 02The artist
Marlon Hoffstadt, also known as DJ Daddy Trance, is a DJ and producer from Berlin whose music blends trance and hard house.

Light design · Audio Obscura · Van Nelle Fabriek 03The design
Our design team created a refreshing new concept using a combination of LED panels, lasers and mirrors. The goal was a visual show that highlights the building's industrial atmosphere and merges the design with the local architecture.

Audio Obscura Kingsnight · Van Nelle Fabriek 04The room
Our lighting operators made sure the music, the venue, the crowd and the light came to life together, as one 360 degree experience.
